FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: application: in electrical engineering. According to the control method for an appliance (1, 10-16) data are received with info about a consumable resource cost variation curve over time (KP), which contain at least the first time interval (T2, T4) with low cost and the second time interval (T1, T3) with the high cost of the consumable resource. The operating duration (T5) of the appliance (1, 10-16) is compared to the duration of the first time interval (T2, T4) and the moment (t0) of the programme start-up is defined by the result of this comparison. When the run time (T5) of the programme is more than the duration of the first time interval (T2, T4), then the programme (6, 7, 8) stage is identified at which more resources are consumed in comparison with other stages of the programme against consumption over the time curve (VP), which describes the consumption of a consumable recourse by the appliance (1, 10-16) during operation. The programme start-up moment (t0) is selected so that the stage of the programme (6, 7, 8) with the biggest consumption of the consumable resource falls within the first time interval (T2, T4).
EFFECT: reducing the load on the electric mains, reducing the operation costs of the appliance and acceleration of its start-up.
