FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves performing a repair procedure with the use of two grafts, one of which 8-12 cm × 2 cm × 1.0-1.5 cm in size is implanted into subcondylar area in the horizontal direction in parallel with an articular surface. The second graft having a size of 12-15 cm × 2 cm is implanted vertically right up to the first one. The first graft represents an autograft taken from an iliac crest, which is introduced though a small window in a medial wall of the tibia. Herewith, the second graft is a combined autograft taken from a fibular bone together with a vascular bundle and a segment of a thumb flexor, which is delivered to a repair site subcutaneously.
EFFECT: method enables improving the outcome of the tibial defect repair accompanying metaepiphyseal growth, preventing material migration, and creating conditions for favourable bone regeneration.
