SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing hydrogen from carbonaceous raw material and steam. The method includes gasification of raw material with a gas stream which includes carbon dioxide at high temperature and oxygen to obtain a first gas stream containing carbon monoxide molecules and hydrogen molecules; oxidising the first gas stream with oxygen carriers in an oxidised state and an oxygen stream to obtain a second gas stream at high temperature, which includes carbon dioxide, oxygen carriers in a reduced state and excess heat energy; activating the oxygen carriers in a reduced state with an activation gas stream which includes steam at high temperature to obtain oxygen carriers in an oxidised state, a third gas stream which includes hydrogen and excess heat energy. A system for carrying out the method comprises a gasification reactor, an oxidation reactor and an activation reactor.
EFFECT: invention provides efficient self-contained production of hydrogen, reduces the negative impact on the environment and reduces power consumption.
