FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine and deals with a method of treating or preventing RHD, associated with GAS infection, which includes the introduction to a patient of at least one GAS antigen, selected from a group, including amino acid sequences SEQ ID NO: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 or their functional equivalents. The group of inventions also deals with a method of diagnosing GAS-infection-associated RHD in the patient; a protein chip for the diagnostics of GAS-infection-associated RHD in the patient; a set, containing the said protein chip and instructions for application in the diagnostics of patients with the presence or with a risk of development of a rheumatic heart disease, associated with GAS infection.
EFFECT: group of infections provides the treatment of GAS-infection-associated RHD; accurate RHD diagnostics.
