FIELD: physics, signalling.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to security alarms and a method of detecting action on a structure using a motion sensor. The result is achieved due to that the motion sensor used in a device for detecting action on a structure is an accelerometer, which is connected to an amplitude detector which, when a given amplitude value is exceeded, triggers a circuit for monitoring vibration frequency of the structure and, upon deviation of the natural vibration frequency of the structure from the natural vibration frequency of the integral structure or in case of absence of the natural vibration frequency of the structure, a signal indicating breakdown of the structure is generated. According to the method of determining integrity of a structure using a pulse generator, the pulse generator is set up such that after the launch thereof the pulse time matches voltage values corresponding to the peak of each vibration of the structure in an integral state, wherein the pulse generator is launched automatically when action is applied on the structure and in case of mismatch between said voltage values and the obtained voltage values corresponding to vibration peaks of the structure, or in the absence of vibrations of the structure breakdown of the structure is established.

EFFECT: high reliability of determining breakdown of a structure.
