FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: 70% hepatectomy is performed in a laboratory animal on the second experimental day. An agent inducing liver regeneration is L-arginine administered intragastrically in a daily dose of 200.0 mg/kg every 46 hours for the first 7 experimental days.
EFFECT: full reconstruction of the volume, structure and function of the resected liver.
