FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: high-frequency structure for accelerating cluster ions, consisting of a resonator in the form of a tank, inside of which a high-frequency electric field is formed and current conductor lines, which are grounded, are fitted with drift tubes with a plurality of coaxial apertures, made in the form of profiled cylindrical discs, the profile of the flat surfaces of which determines the distance between coaxial apertures of adjacent drift tubes, which correspond to the same strength of the accelerating high-frequency electric field between said apertures.
EFFECT: high intensity of cluster ions in a bunch at the output of the high-frequency structure for accelerating cluster ions.
