FIELD: printing.
SUBSTANCE: security element for counterfeit-proof papers, valuable documents or the like is proposed, with a base having a front side and a rear side, the lamination coated onto the base, and the optical structure which comprises an upper side and a lower side and the optical element located on the upper side, and generates a motif visually perceptible from the upper side, at that the base has at least one window. The optical structure on its upper side has a microlens matrix and a microstructure located under the microlens matrix, when viewed from the upper side, which together with the microlens matrix forms a motif, at that the microlens of the microlens matrix are arranged in a pattern adapted to the microstructure. The optical structure on the rear side of the base is laid over the window with its upper side, so that the microlens matrix is in the window, and the motif is visually perceptible from the front side through the window, and the lamination is coated on the rear side and covers the lower side of the optical structure.
EFFECT: increase in protection.
