FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to temperature indicators for visual display of material temperature or device with variable temperature, intended for preparation and storage of food. The temperature indicator contains Bi2O3 bismuth oxide. Bismuth oxide can be mixed with the painting pigment for change of colour of the temperature indicator and/or for amplification of change of colour at change of material temperature. The painting pigment is selected from the group including cobalt aluminate, cobalt chrome and iron oxide. For the material or the device with variable temperature one or more reference colours are provisioned which display the temperature that indicates, whether the temperature of the material or the device is higher or lower than the temperature displayed by the reference colour.
EFFECT: offered indicator includes non-toxic material as an indicator and provides increased ability of temperature indication and determination of colour change.
