FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used for process vessels lining. Vessel for melted metal contains casing (20), refractory lining blocks (14, 15) installed in it with clearance (24) between their external surfaces and casing, and pair of guards (35, 36), installed in the clearance. The refractory blocks are arranged by end faces towards each other and with joint (25). The guards installed at opposite sides of the joint, not permeable for the melted metal divide the clearance to trap (38) zone and to at least one zone for equipment (45), that can be damaged by the melted metal. If melted metal enters the joint between the refractory blocks it is in the trap zone. The guards prevent the metal ingress from the trap on the clearance zones with installed equipment, for example, electric heaters.
EFFECT: exclusion of equipment damage by melted metal.
