SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a rotary melting furnace for recycling non-ferrous metal waste, in particular, aluminium scrap. The furnace comprises a semi-cylindrical steel body, made with welded steel stiffening bars, has two steel end walls, is lined with lightweight bricks on the inside, wherein the storage bath and two inclined platforms are made of corundum KS-90 blocks laid on heat-insulating fibreglass mullite silica cardboard and lightweight fireclay bricks ShL-0,4. A detachable stainless steel lined arch is secured on the welded semi-cylindrical steel body by means of four fastening apparatuses, located above the hearth and two inclined platforms, a flue and two holes for installation of burners therein are made in the arch, wherein the furnace has an injection 21-mixer medium-pressure burner on the side, directed at an angle of 40° to the hearth, and two injection 21-mixer medium-pressure burners installed in the arch and each directed at an angle of 70° to the inclined platform and the hearth of the furnace. The furnace has a working window and a slag window, equipped with hydraulic drives for lifting and lowering the damper, wherein the taphole for releasing molten metal is located on the side of the furnace, is made from quick-change taphole bricks, the furnace is equipped with a body rotation mechanism mounted on the frame and on a welded steel post and consisting of an electric engine of a coupling, a worm reduction gearbox, a pair of gear wheels, a steel shaft with a coupling, rotating in supports with supporting rolling bearings, a worm set rigidly on the shaft and coming into engagement with the toothed sector welded to the steel body of the furnace, wherein the body of the furnace has two bandages welded thereto, supported by four rollers. The furnace is equipped with a dust and gas purification system consisting of a mixing chamber, a smoke pump, two identical dust and gas purification units united into a uniform structure, two rotary grids and twenty bag filters are placed in the units.
EFFECT: high productivity of the furnace, reduction in the heat and carbon monoxide losses are ensured.
