FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: in compliance with this invention, contactless meter with primary transducer is used. Sensitive elements of the latter, electrically independent, are set at one base with shift to controlled object. Readings of said meter are used to calculate the controlled object shift relative to said meter. In compliance with this invention, shift between sensitive elements is changed by equivalent spacing there between. Optimum magnitude of this shift is calculated at graduation of said meter. Calculated are ith increments of displacement while full displacement of controlled object relative to the meter is defined by summing of all ith increments of shifts.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of unsteady displacements under variable outer climatic conditions.
