FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to information and communication technology and a method of controlling the intensity of an infrared surface electromagnetic wave on a flat-face structure. The method includes converting on an edge the structure of the surface electromagnetic wave into a volume wave, placing the far wave zone of the radiating portion of the edge the structure of another flat-face wave-guide structure, on the edge of which there is reverse conversion of the volume wave into a surface wave. Intensity of the surface wave is controlled by changing the size of the gap which separates the wave-guide structures.
EFFECT: simpler and faster method.
