FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: bench for checking of the acoustic Doppler current profiler comprises acoustically muffled pool with liquid and the testing equipment consisting of the reception and transmission paths. The reception hydroacoustic path contains the reception hydroacoustic antenna installed in the pool with a possibility of orientation towards the radiation of the verified device, the reception path amplifier connected to the output of the reception hydroacoustic antenna, the device providing separation and measurement of the bearing frequency of the accepted hydroacoustic signal the input of which is connected to the output of the reception path amplifier. The transferring path contains the generator forming the signal sent to the input of the transferring path amplifier the out put of which is electrically connected to the hydroacoustic radiator installed in the pool with a possibility of orientation along the direction of reception of the verified device, while the generator is implemented with a possibility of setting of the calculated value of the bearing frequency changed with reference to the bearing frequency of radiation of the verified device to the value of Doppler frequency shift.

EFFECT: creation of the bench for checking of acoustic Doppler current profiler based on existing national verification circuits of water current profilers and thus reflecting the physical principles of this type of devices.
