SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a mattress for furniture for sitting and/or furniture for lying, and is aimed at improving comfort of placement of the user on it while sitting and/or lying. The mattress for furniture for lying, in particular for beds, with a main part, preferably made of foam plastic, and a plurality of elastic straps made respectively from a plurality of interconnected elastic elements and the corresponding longitudinal length of which exceeds significantly their corresponding transverse extension, at that in the main part the chambers are provided serving for placement of elastic straps. The chambers and the elastic straps placed in them, in their longitudinal extent are directed in the longitudinal direction of the mattress parallel to the backbone of the user who uses the mattress as intended.
