FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: characterised strain is isolated from cloacal swab of clinically healthy rock pigeon. The isolated strain passed 3 passages on developed chicken embryos and is deposited at the State collection of viruses of the Research institute of virology n.a. D.I. Ivanovsky of the Russian Ministry of Health under the registration number 2778.

EFFECT: strain is capable to lyze selectively cancer cells, without causing infectious disease and death of mammals and can be used to study oncolytic properties and mechanisms of oncolysis with prospect of creation of a prototype anticancer preparation used in virology, microbiology, veterinary medicine and oncology.
