FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining of turbine blade-shaped blanks. Machined blank is supported by rest (1) with blank clamps (15) to fix the blank rotary-asymmetric cross-section. Clamped rest with open clamping elements is displaced along the blank lengthwise axis to thrust position. Note here that said rest is displaced by program-controlled rotation of its rotary part to prevent collision of the rest open clamping elements with the blank. Device incorporates clamping elements for blank to be clamped thereby. Note here that rest rotary part (11) has independent rotary drive and control unit for program-controlled rotation of rest rotary part in displacement along blank lengthwise axis with elements clamping at open position.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of machining.
