FIELD: metal processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal processing and may be applied to reduce eccentricity of inner surface (7) of hollow part (1), in particular hollow shaft, relative to its outer surface (9). Proposed method comprises rotatable clamping of part (1) by means of clamping device in machine (2), measuring circuit of its inner surface (7), which is used then to calculate specified surface (13) of at least one portion of external surface (9), having reduced eccentricity relative to internal surface (7), and processing by cutting outer surface (9) of part (1) in accordance with designed specified surface (13). At that, only at least one portion (14, 15) of external surface of part (1) is processed by cutting, and then part (1) is reinstalled in clamping device (3, 4) with clamping of at least one of processed portions (14, 15) of external surface, and processed by cutting at least partially, in remaining non-processed external surface (9) of part for at least partial reduction of eccentricity of inner surface (7) relative to outer surface (9).

EFFECT: reduction of eccentricity of inner surface of hollow part.
