SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to means for X-ray image acquisition. Method is realised by irradiation of object by X-ray radiation and detection on detector surface of X-ray radiation that passed through object, with collimator, which includes semi-transparent device of X-ray radiation transmission, in beam of irradiating X-ray radiation, shielding in this way from X-ray radiation, at least, partly, regions on detector surface; X-ray image is acquired and position of semi-transparent device for X-ray radiation transmission is automatically adjusted on the basis of information about image, contained in, at least, partly shielded regions of detector surface. Device contains source of X-ray radiation, collimator, including adjustable semi-transparent device for X-ray radiation transmission, placed in the way of X-ray beam passage, X-ray detector and control device for adjusting position of semi-transparent device for X-ray radiation transmission. Machine-readable carrier contains computer software, made with possibility to control method in the process of implementation on processor.
EFFECT: application of invention makes it possible to improve X-ray beam collimation.
