FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of continuous polymerisation with obtaining a polymer, including monomer units, obtained from styrene and 1,3-butadiene. The method includes the polymerisation of monomers in the presence of an initiator and, at least, one polar agent, selected from formula 1 1,2-diene is added to the polymerisation. The molar ratio of 1,2-diene to the active initiator constitutes from 0.1 to 1.0. The molar ratio of the polar agent to the active initiator constitutes from 0.05 to 0.6. The polymer-containing composition, including the monomer units, obtained from styrene and 1,3-butadiene is also described. The polymer has, at least, the following characteristics: A) content of vinyl from 12 to 40 wt % counted per the weight of polymerised butadiene in the polymer, B) content of a styrene block less than 8 wt % counted per the styrene weight in the polymer, and C) content of styrene from 10 to 50 wt % counted per the polymer weight.
EFFECT: obtaining high values of monomer conversion with minimal levels of residual monomers.
