FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: individual test contact lens has at least two alignment signs enabling measuring an angle of rotation and a lens alignment in relation to the centre of corneal limb. The alignment signs are arranged along horizontal or vertical axis of the lens. A method for selecting an individual contact lens involves measuring a basic parameter of refraction, parameters of high-order refractive aberrations and reading the patient's corneal topographic findings; designing and manufacturing the individual test contact lens with the alignment signs and stabilising the angle of rotation; placing the lens on the patient's eye and taking a photograph or a set of photographs of the lens placed on the eye; analysing the position of the individual test contact lens with the alignment signs in relation to the centre of the corneal limb; creating a final version of the individual contact lens on the basis of the stage d.
EFFECT: providing measuring the angle of rotation and aligning the lens by means of the alignment signs.
