FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of contact lenses, and more particularly to a system and method for determining the rotation error and bias error occurring during the wearing of a contact lens by a patient. Following steps of a claimed method for identifying a contact lens that improves a patient's vision and takes into account a bias error and/or a turn error are carried out: receiving results of the first wavefront test performed on the unaided eye of the patient, the results include a first wavefront map and a first set of Zernicke polynomials. And with the help of the results of the first wavefront test, the first contact lens is selected, which improves the vision of said patient. Results of the second wavefront test performed in this patient are obtained when a selected first contact lens is worn, the second results include a second wavefront map and a second set of Zernicke polynomials and a bias error or rotation error of the selected first lens is calculated by calculating the difference between the first and second sets of Zernicke polynomials. By using this calculated difference, a second lens is identified that better takes into account the calculated bias error or the rotation error of the selected first lens.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of error measurement of the position of the contact lens on the patient's eye.
