FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: axial radius topography data are determined for the set of eyes of a specific population. The distribution of the apical radius and the conical constant is calculated from the data on the axial radius. The values of the apical radius and the conical constant for the individual subject are determined. A set of rear lens surfaces is selected from the library of the rear surfaces based on the values of the apical radius and the conical constant of the individual subject and the selection of the rear lens surface of the final rear surface corresponding to the needs of the individual subject from one set of selection criteria selected from the group consisting of view, comfort when wearing, fitting, handling, minimizing the lens wrapping and any combination thereof.
EFFECT: improvement of properties.
