SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image projection means. The method comprises: determining upper and lower boundary images based on pixel values of each of a received image and a threshold image; forming images using a smoothing filter in combination with the upper and lower boundary images, the received images and the threshold image; projecting a first image on the surface with a first projector; projecting a second image on the surface with a second projector. In the method the first and second images have pixel values within the illumination of the first and second projectors.

EFFECT: high quality of displaying a projected image when projecting with double superimposition.
