SUBSTANCE: method includes describing the structure of a communication network; creating a model of a communication system with a detectable signature; simulating the occurrence of the detectable signature of elements of the communication system, detection and recognition processes thereof; simulating the occurrence of different types of malfunctions, damages and breakdowns; calculating a reconnaissance indicator; if the reconnaissance indicator does not match the required value, reconfiguring the simulated communication system; if the conditions are met, deploying a real communication system; if the conditions are not met, reconfiguring the operating communication system; additionally simulating the service and operational load; calculating the probability of timely transmission of messages in the communication system; calculating the adequacy of the model ε1, ε2, ε3 from the obtained new indicator values; verifying the condition ε1≥εtr1 for the value of the probability of timely transmission of information; additionally deploying an integrated monitoring system in the real operating communication system; determining parameters which affect indicators; performing adjustment thereof.

EFFECT: adaptive improvement of adequacy of a model of a communication system.
