FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry. Described is monoclonal antibody, which specifically binds TLR3 polypeptide, where said antibody represents tetramer, consisting of two identical pairs of polypeptide chains, with each pair having one light and one heavy chain of isotype IgG, and where said antibody inhibits transmission of signal by TLR3 polypeptide without blocking binding dsRNA TLR3 ligand with TLR3 polypeptide. Claimed is method of obtaining said antibody, as well as pharmaceutical composition, containing said antibody, and method of treatment, applying said antibody.
EFFECT: invention extends arsenal of means for treatment of such diseases as: arthritis, pneumonia, asthma, sepsis, rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease, and cancer.
