INHALATION DEVICE FOR DRY POWDER Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61M15/00

Abstract RU 2563106 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: inhalation device contains dosing ring 2, intended for storing and releasing specified quantity of dry powder, such as medicine, and provided with multitude of depressions or powder chambers 1, distributed throughout the surface of dosing ring 2 and intended for storing doses of dry powder loaded in them, air channel 7 for delivery by single dose and supplying mechanism 5, which ensures supply/turn of dosing ring 2 with ensuring opening of one powder chamber 1 into air channel 7. Sealing is provided for separation of powder chambers 1 from each other and for holding powder doses in proper powder chambers 1. Sealing is placed with possibility of revolution together with dosing ring 2. Sealing is provided with integrated pre-moulded opening element. Air channel 7 has transverse section, which increases in direction of air stream movement, in such a way that area of its transverse section in first plane is smaller than area of its transverse section in second plane. Opening element is made with possibility of automatic opening when placed in air channel 7 under the influence of reduced pressure, created in this air channel when air stream passes in it in specified direction, opening in that way contents of powder chamber 1 into air channel 7.

EFFECT: invention increases convenience of application and reduction of dimensions.
