FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy particularly with blast-furnace hearth. The hearth contains external casing and ring wall lining out of refractory material inside the casing. The wall lining has bottom area of the multilayer structure. Radially this internal layer looks on the internal part of the hearth and contains at least one internal ring of the refractory blocks. Radially the external layer looks on the external casing and contains at least one external ring of the refractory blocks. In at least one internal ring the refractory blocks are made out of the first carbon refractory material that differs from one or more carbon refractory materials of the refractory blocks of the external layer. The first carbon refractory material contains at least 5-20% of total weight, at least one addition improving properties other then metal silicon or silicone carbide. In preferable combination at least one internal ring has wall thickness below 45%, preferably below 35% of the appropriate total wall thickness of the ring lining.
EFFECT: invention ensures improved wear resistance of the blast-furnace hearth due to metal melt action.
