FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: method of protecting a small-size mobile object includes detecting laser radiation pulses, measuring the intensity thereof, determining the direction of illumination of the protected object, selecting the point of forming a laser false target and emitting interference pulses towards the safest direction. The laser false target is formed by illuminating the underlying surface with interference pulses of a laser beam which are delayed relative to the illumination pulses by a minimum sufficient time for guaranteed directed distraction of the attacking high-precision weapon.
EFFECT: high effectiveness of protecting small-size mobile objects from the entire range of laser-guided high-precision weapons.
