FIELD: electronic warfare.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic warfare, particularly to methods of protecting ground objects from high-precision laser-guided weapons. A false laser target is formed at a given place outside the object, but not after determining the laser beam generation parameters of the protected object, but simultaneously with detection of laser irradiation of the protected object. At the same time frequency of repetition of interference pulses of laser radiation of illumination varies depending on current values of distance from protected object to ammunition, which is guided to reflected laser radiation, at current moment of time.
EFFECT: faster creation of a false laser target on the underlying surface after detection of laser illumination of the protected object.
