FIELD: physics, computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to multi-view imaging devices for generating views in a field of view. The device includes a display panel provided with pixels, a backlighting unit which comprises a system of light sources, wherein when turned on, each light source illuminates an associated region of pixels of the display panel, as well as a head position tracking system. A device controller is configured to control the display panel and the system of light sources so as to form a partial output light beam of the imaging device, which simultaneously contains a set of at least three two-dimensional views without repeating individual two-dimensional views. Said partial field of view of the imaging device is selected based on input signals received from the head position tracking system.
EFFECT: avoiding repetition of views, low power consumption.
