FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises data processing chamber and unit including extra N-1 optical transducers, M light sources, made distance meter and industrial computer. Device inputs represent inputs of optical transducers and made distance meter. Outputs of optical transducers are connected to industrial computer inputs. Outputs of made distance meter are connected to industrial computer inputs. Industrial computer output makes the device output. Rolling stock location signal is generated by industrial computer on the basis of identification of process situations on video images obtained at rolling stock run over railway lines: a) running by pointwork at positive position; b) running by pointwork at negative position; c) motion start and stop; d) type and number of pointwork, light type and designation.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of rolling stock locating.
