FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes remote scanning the surface of a mixture, accompanying illumination of the surface of the mixture alternately with light sources with a different wavelength, processing the obtained image using digital computer models and calculating optoleptic information entropy. The degree of homogenisation of the mixture is determined from the optoleptic information entropy obtained during illumination with a light source with a radiation spectrum where change in the optoleptic information entropy is maximally pronounced.
EFFECT: high accuracy of inspecting the degree of homogeneity of a homogenised heterogeneous composition.
