SUBSTANCE: invention represents a method for preparing biologically active substances – adaptogens in cell culture of rhodiola rosea, characterized by the fact that it involves cultivation of cells of Rhodiola rosea L. plant on modified nutrient Murashige and Skoog medium containing chitosan, with preliminary 15-minute irradiation with ultraviolet light at wave length 315 nm, in light (16-hour light day), at temperature 26 °C for 28 days.

EFFECT: invention enables to regulate the content of biologically active substances of adaptogenic action in the callus culture of rhodiola rosea by introducing into the culture medium precursors of biosynthesis secondary metabolites and action of stress factors.
