SUBSTANCE: invention relates to controlling travelling-wave tube amplifiers. A travelling-wave tube amplifier includes at least: a travelling-wave tube (226), having a cathode, a spiral, a radio-frequency input, a radio-frequency output and a plurality of collectors; an electronic stabilised power source which provides electric power and electrode polarisation on said travelling-wave tube (226); wherein said electronic stabilised power source includes adjustment control means (24) which facilitate adjustment of the voltage between the spiral and the cathode and collector voltages through control commands sent via a data bus.

EFFECT: wider operating frequency range of the travelling-wave tube amplifier while maintaining high efficiency thereof.
