FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a lubricant composition for transmission gear boxes, which contains: (a) an organic molybdenum compound selected from at least one organic molybdenum complex, obtained by reacting: (i) mono-, di- or triglyceride type fat or a fatty acid, (ii) an amine source of formula where X1 and X2 are O or N, and n and m are equal to 1, if X1 or X2 is O, and n and m are equal to 2, if X1 or X2 is N, and (iii) a molybdenum source selected from molybdenum trioxide or molybdates, in an amount sufficient for providing 0.1-20.0% molybdenum with respect to the weight of the complex, (b) one or more antiwear or antiscoring additives, selected from thia(di)azoles, (c) one or more phosphorus-containing and/or phosphorous-sulphurous antiwear and antiscoring additive, selected from phosphites, phosphates, phosphonates, thiophosphates or thiophosphites, (d) at least one base oil; wherein said lubricant composition has weight ratio of molybdenum of 90-180 parts by weight. The present invention also relates to use of the composition to lubricate transmission gear boxes.
EFFECT: obtaining a lubricant composition for transmission gear boxes, which provides anti-spalling protection on transmission gears, which enables to limit wear of timing units and prevent blocking thereof, enables easy gear change and provides insensitivity to water.
