SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field, specifically to a compound of formula I:

in which R1-R5 and R6-R10 are independently selected from a group, consisting of hydrogen and saturated hydrocarbyl groups so that total number of carbon atoms in counter ions Q1 and Q2 ranges from 6 to 166, and molybdate anion (Y) is a binuclear sulfur-containing dianion selected from a group consisting of [Mo2S8O2]2-, [Mo2S9O]2-, [Mo2S10]2- and mixture. Also disclosed is a lubricating composition containing a compound of formula I.
EFFECT: invention discloses novel organic compounds used as an additive to lubricating oils and as consistent lubricants for reducing friction, reducing wear and antiscoring properties.
