SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a device for assisting tracking, comprising: a unit for specifying a target to be tracked, which, in response to an input operation performed by an observing person on one of display views in order to designate a moving object to be tracked, specifies the designated moving object as a target to be tracked; the display views display captured images, obtained by corresponding cameras and stored in a recording device; a camera selection unit which, based on tracking information obtained by processing captured images, selects any of the cameras which are presumed to have the obtained image of the moving object designated as the target to be tracked, among cameras other than the camera corresponding to the display view on which the target to be tracked was designated; and a reproduction unit which instructs the display of captured images obtained by each camera, selected through the camera selection unit in the corresponding one of the display views.

EFFECT: providing the right assistance process in order to reduce the load on the observing person, thereby enabling monitoring without losing view of the monitored person.
