FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for personal hygiene. A skin detector contains a signal generator for the generation of an electric actuating signal; a control circuit, containing a capacity (CREF) and a resistor (RPREF) for the generation of a reference signal depending on the actuating signal; a probe, which the skin touches, to measure the signal of the skin response depending on the actuating signal, and a comparator for the comparison of the skin response signal with the reference signal. The capacity (CREF) of a control circuit (10) represents the lower boundary of skin capacity, with the resistor (RPREF) representing the upper boundary of skin resistance.

EFFECT: provision of an effective contact with skin during photoepilation is achieved.
