FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. An implant for bone defect elimination is made of ceramic granules with an intragranular pore up to 350 mcm in size. The granules are made of zirconium dioxide alloyed (0% to 20%) aluminium oxide ceramics. The granules are cylinder-shaped and have a height to base diameter ratio from 2:1 to 3.5:1 with the cylinder having a base diameter of not less than 0.9 mm. The granules have pores shaped as a long through passage of 300-500 mcm in diameter.
EFFECT: invention provides the bone defect elimination in load-bearing skeleton areas with higher strength and cracking resistance.
