FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to orthopaedic dentistry, and can be used for the improvement of neuromascular coordination, treatment of muscle pain and TMJ dysfunction, increase of the vertical height of the bite, provision of the definite position of the mandible, restructuring the trajectory of the mandible movement, checking the correctness of the occlusion scheme reconstructed by the dentist, distribution of load in case of bruxism. A device for treating the dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint and normalisation of the function of masticatory muscles in the form of a trainer contains occlusion parts, cheek and tongue walls in the form of boards, a hole for breathing. The occlusion parts for the upper and lower teeth are made on individually made models by silicone cast, plastered in the articulator on bite rollers, with the boards being formed in case of the first degree of the teeth abrasion to their equator, in case of the second degree - to their neck, and in case of the third degree of the teeth abrasion and in case of the teeth absence - to the transitional fold. In case of a 3 mm or larger displacement of the mandible in the lateral direction the tongue wall has a soft pad on the internal surface, opposite to the mandible displacement.
EFFECT: invention increases the reliability and accuracy of the device fixation, provided rigid holding of the mandible in the correct position, which facilitates training and normalisation of the function of masticatory muscles and temporomandibular joint.
