FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to orthopaedic dentistry and orthodontics. Method for elimination of distal occlusion of dentures involves instrumental examination of patient's dentoalveolar system. According to the research results, a virtual spatial relationship of the jaws is formed and dental prostheses are simulated; digital models of the jaws are fixed in a virtual articulator until contact of the incisors. On the masticatory surface of the first and second molars of the upper and lower jaws, individual occlusal onlays are modelled so as to provide a tight fissure-tubercle contact compensating for the disocclusion. Virtual models of the occlusal onlays are converted into physical models and fixed in the oral cavity. Fixed bracket system is installed on the teeth of the upper and lower jaws. Orthodontic movement of the teeth is performed horizontally and vertically to a complete closure taking into account the placed occlusal onlays. Dental arches with the installed occlusal onlays are scanned and after their removal, the obtained images are combined and the virtual images of the occlusal onlays are obtained by volumetric subtraction, which are converted into physical models with subsequent fixation in the oral cavity.
EFFECT: accurate horizontal and vertical displacement of teeth until complete closure in the physiological position of the lower jaw fixed by means of non-removable occlusal onlays made using digital technologies, as well as displacement of the lower jaw from the distal position and restoration of the height of the lower one-third of the face.
