FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to strip rolling mill. Proposed process comprises decreasing of metal strip sending end at first mill active rolling stand (n) and transfer of metal strip to the next active rolling stand for further decreased in strip initial depth. Further decreased in metal strip initial depth at nth active rolling stand is effected in compliance with developed stretching strain between active rolling stands n+1 and n.
EFFECT: uniform elongation over strip width, ruled out strip irregularities.
