FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed mill comprises several consecutive rolling stands (2) for cold-rolled strip (1). Precision of the strip final depth at varying rolling parameters is ensured by measurement of actual speed (v) of strip (1) exiting from one (2-1) of stands (2). Measured actual speed (v) is compared with preset speed (v*). Proceeding from said comparison, preset (vU*) circumferential speed (vU) of rolls (2-1) is adjusted to make actual speed (v*) equal to preset speed (v). Said stand (2-1) is controlled in compliance with adjusted magnitude (vU*) of roll circumferential speed (vU). Then, strip (1) depth (d) is measured at exit from rolling stand (2-1). Roll space (s) of stand (2-1) is adjusted with the help of measured strip (1) depth (d) so that the product of actual speed (v) by depth (d) complies with preset mass flow (M*). Control device incorporates appropriate hardware.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of adjustment.
