FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: pubic ligament is ultrasounded in a sagittal plane going through the middle of the pubic symphysis. The total area (T) of a fibrous part (FP) of the interpubic disk (ID) of the pubic ligament, an aggregate area (A) of the zones in the FP projection having echogenicity more than twice less than an intact zone of the FP are measured. If the A/T ratio is more than 0.8 or an anechoic zone is found in the FP projection equal to the FP area, a high risk of the rupture of the pubic ligament is predicted.
EFFECT: method enables avoiding traumatic complications of the pubic ligament, selecting the optimum mode of delivery, simplifying the procedure of trauma risk evaluation and maintaining the diagnostic accuracy.
