FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: method to produce non-oxidised bitumen from high-resin oil with use of reheated water vapour includes heating of source oil, atmospheric distillation and production of target product from bottom of the column. Source oil is heated to temperature of 300°C and supplied from the top of the column to attached contact elements. Reheated water vapour is supplied to the bottom of the column with temperature of 480-540°C at the ratio of vapour : oil (0.8-1.2):1, accordingly.

EFFECT: simplified method to produce non-oxidised bitumen from high-resin oils due to simplification of equipment design, reduced energy costs for production of reheated water vapour, lower bitumen brittleness temperature.
