SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel supply systems of the internal combustion engines (ICE) with ignition due to compression. Under the suggested method the primary fuel from the fuel tank by HP fuel pump is delivered to the reactor (1) of catalytic dehydration. In the reactor the primary fuel is heated to temperature of reaction by the indirect heat exchange with ether containing fuel, then the catalytic dehydration of the primary fuel is performed in the reactor to the ether containing fuel by contact with the catalyst (2) if alcohol dehydration, and obtained ether containing fuel is injected in the engine. Besides the system for the said method implementation is suggested.
EFFECT: method of ICE operation on ether containing ether containing fuel obtained by conversion of the alcoholic fuel.
