The steam generating tank A heated with a heat source 2a comprises: a vaporisation chamber 5, into which water is delivered by the water supply device; a supply opening 31 supplying steam from the vaporisation chamber 5; and the outlet openings 26 emitting steam supplied through the supply opening 31 into the heating chamber 11 containing the food. The buffer chamber 6 which is in fluid communication with the supply opening 31 and the outlet openings 26 is provided between the vaporisation chamber 5 and the heating chamber 11. Even when the boiling water enters the buffer chamber 6 through the supply opening 31, the boiling water which entered into it flows inside the buffer chamber 6. Thus, it is unlikely that the boiling water is released into the heating chamber 11 through the outlet openings 26.
