FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. A thermoplastic composition contains a thermoplastic polymer and a cyclodextrin-modified thermoplastic polymer, having an inclusion complex with cyclodextrin, covalently bonded with a thermoplastic polymer and containing a cyclodextrin part and an inhibitor having the structure where each of R1, R2, R3, R4 is independently hydrogen or a C1-16-hydrocarbon group and where at least one of R1 or R2 is methyl. The thermoplastic polymer composition is intended to produce fibres, films, fabrics, soft packaging, hard containers, laminates, covers or inserts for storing agricultural products.
EFFECT: method of producing a cyclodextrin-modified thermoplastic polymer includes covalently bonding a cyclodextrin part with a polyolefin to form a grafted cyclodextrin composition and contacting the grafted cyclodextrin with an inhibitor, wherein contacting is performed in a closed space.
