DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE FOR INFLAMMATORY AND NONINFLAMMATORY PROCESSES IN PHARYNGEAL TONSIL IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC G01N33/53

Abstract RU 2567033 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: venous blood subpopulations of T-lymphocytes carrying CD3+CD4+, CD3+CD8+, CD4+/CD8+, CD3+CD16+CD56+, CD3+HLA-DR+ markers, B-lymphocytes, natural killer lymphocytes with CD3-CD16+CD56+ marker, immunoglobulins A, M, G (IgA, IgM, IgG), phagocytic index (PI), phagocytic number (PN), circulating immune complexes (CIC); interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and interleukin-4 (IL-4) concentrations, tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) are measured in lymphocyte fraction secretion, and total air flow (F1 R+L), total air flow resistance (Res R+L) are derived. That is followed by setting three canonical discriminator functions and evaluating standardised coefficients of canonical discriminator functions for the parameters (bji) and a constant of linear function of the discriminator function (aj0) for the patients with predicted hypertrophy of pharyngeal tonsil of the degree I, II and III: Dj=aj0+bj1x1+bj2x2+…+bjpxp, wherein D is the linear discriminator function; j - a group indicator, j=1…, k-1, k is a quantity of groups; xi are discriminator variables; i is a variable discriminator, i=1…, p; p is a quantity of discriminator variables; aj0 is a discrimination constant; bji is a coefficient of the i-th discriminator variable for the j-th group. The patient is referred to a group, which possesses a maximum linear discriminator function. If the maximum linear discriminator function among three linear discriminator functions falls within 79.495-104.965, the patient is diagnosed with hypertrophy of pharyngeal tonsil of degree I that correlates with the noninflammatory process in pharyngeal tonsil. If the maximum linear discriminator function among three linear discriminator functions falls within 120.222-132.774, the patient is diagnosed with hypertrophy of pharyngeal tonsil of degree II that correlates with the inflammatory process. If the maximum value D ranges from 135.360 to 296.243, hypertrophy of pharyngeal tonsil of degree III is diagnosed and stands for the inflammatory process in pharyngeal tonsil showing signs of aggravated chronic adenoiditis. The intermediate intervals of 104.965 and 132.774-135.360 requires diagnosing the inflammatory and noninflammatory processes in pharyngeal tonsil in children 30-90 days later.

EFFECT: higher accuracy.
